Vivian MA

Vivian Ma is from Beijing, China. She came to New Zealand in 2001 and studied Law at Victoria University of Wellington, where she was admitted to the bar in 2018. In addition to her legal qualifications, Vivian obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Education in New Zealand.
With experience primarily in conveyancing, commercial law, and family law, Vivian is dedicated to prioritising clients' best interests by offering practical solutions to their issues.

Vicky JIA

Born and raised in mainland China, Vicky embarked on a new chapter in 2008 when she moved to New Zealand. Her educational journey includes a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma in Teaching, and a Bachelor of Law, highlighting her diverse academic interests and expertise across different disciplines.
Vicky has experience in all areas of property law from guiding first-time homebuyers through their initial property purchases to managing complex subdivision projects.
With extensive experience in property law, conveyancing, trusts, enduring powers of attorney, residential and commercial conveyancing, wills, subdivisions, refinancing,relationship property, and general family law matters, she offers comprehensive and personalized legal services.
Dr Jaeho CHOI

Dr Choi is well renowned for his vast experience and excellent service.
He began his career with a BSc degree from Seoul National University in Korea, and further developed his knowledge through a PhD in Physics at the University of Leicester in England.
After immigrating to New Zealand in 2001, he pursued his new passion in law at the University of Auckland, and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2007. In 2011, Dr Choi founded JC Legal and has been delivering excellent legal services to the community.
Dr Choi specialises in Property, Business, and Civil Litigation.

Han YAN

Hans immigrated to New Zealand in 2002. He has a very strong academic background with Bachelor of Business with double majors of economics and e-business from Massey University. In 2010, Hans obtained the Master of Management Studies and in the same year, he started with his law degree study. In 2014, Hans obtained the LLB (Hons). In 2016, Hans achieved Master of Laws (Hons) from Waikato University and University of Auckland.
Hans worked in different law firms since 2016 from where he absorbed experiences in conveyancing, commercial lease, general civil litigation, and immigration.
Hans is very friendly and approachable. He always applies practical methods to assist the client to reach the most reasonable outcome.

Wilson CHEN

Wilson is a dual-qualified lawyer admitted in New Zealand and China. Proficient in Mandarin and English, he holds a Juris Master degree from Peking University and an LL.M. with Distinction from the University of Auckland.
Beyond general practice, his experience spans banking and finance and regulatory compliance matters under the New Zealand legal framework, as well as complex commercial litigation under Chinese law. Wilson previously served as a law clerk and associate judge at the Beijing First Intermediate People’s Court, where he participated in over 200 commercial litigation cases. He later worked as a Legal Risk Manager at Bank of China (New Zealand).
Wilson is commercially astute, culturally adept, and provides clear, practical, and effective legal advice.

Victor CHAM

Victor is a law clerk who graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Waikato in 2025.
With a strong background in client service and project management, Victor brings excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a practical approach to supporting property, commercial, and private client matters.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Victor is committed to delivering clear and effective support to clients and the wider legal team.

Seokjoon YOON

Seokjoon holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Laws from Auckland University of Technology. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2022 and previously worked at an Auckland-based law firm before joining JC Legal.
Seokjoon has experience across a broad range of property and commercial matters, including residential and commercial property transactions, refinancing, subdivisions, leasing, and trust-related matters. He assists a wide range of clients from first home buyers to private and commercial clients, as well as developers, and takes care to guide those who may be unfamiliar with the process through each step.
He is fluent in English and Korean and regularly assists clients from diverse backgrounds.
